And we’re back ! Did you miss us ? Big V Basketball is back at the Valley this weekend with 2 cracking games for your entertainment !
On Saturday night, June 18 there are 2 games on show to whet your Basketball appetite – first we have our Victorian Youth Championship Women taking on the Geelong Supercats. The women will be looking to notch up a result against a Geelong outfit that has only won 1 game for the season and will be looking for an upset to spoil the opposition’s night for the remaining rounds of the season. You’re most vulnerable when you think you can’t lose – so the Eagles will need to be sharp to keep a hungry team at bay.
Then later that night, our State Championship Men Eagles welcome in the 2nd placed Corio Bay - a team who is one of the championship favourites in the competition. Boasting 2 incredible imports, Trevon Clayton and Dondray Walker, and one of the best players in the competition in Jason Reardon, our perimeter defenders will have their work cut out for them in what shapes to be an exciting challenge in terms of individual match ups, as well as a chance for the Eagles to get a big scalp by potentially knocking off a very talented Basketball team.
