Diamond Valley find itself in a unique position as Warren Estcourt – Senior Men’s Head Coach and Mark Alabakov who took the 16 Girls to the VC final and will help with the U/18 girls in 2013, will be on opposing benches for the Dandenong Rangers and the Townsville Fire as assistant coaches, find themselves trying to outwit and help get their teams over the line..

As opposing coaches, they will have had their head in the video and be preparing notes and strategies for their respective head coaches. It is a great time for both coaches and just adds more and more credibility to the Eagles program and the caliber of coaches we have. It also offers opportunities to the young Eagles girls who have a link into the WNBL through both coaches.

“Warren is a well respected coach in the league due to his thorough attention to detail, scouting and development of players. He has a lot of experience to draw on when it comes to being in big games “ – Mark Alabakov Townsville Fire Assistant Coach

“Mark has worked hard and been given a great opportunity and has done a fantastic job with that opportunity. He shows the necessary qualities to continue on as a young up and coming coach in this league. It will be a tough game and hopefully we will see a few Diamond Valley folks in the stands. “ – Warren Estcourt, Dandenong Rangers Assistant Coach
