Labor Pioneers of the DVBA Expansion pledge

State Labor leaders made a major pledge of a further $8 million to Diamond Valley Basketball Association, to support the expansion of three new courts and facilities upgrade for the DV Sports and Fitness Centre in the Nillumbik Shire.

This major push for the State government to invest in Diamond Valley Basketball, started with our local members of parliament, Vicki Ward of Eltham, and Danielle Green of Yan Yean. Vicki & Danielle are avid supporters of the growth of grassroots basketball and its positive impact within the local community.

Ross Wignell, CEO of Diamond Valley Basketball, has seen the years of work that has gone into receiving this pledge from Labor. “This $8 million-dollar boost from Vicki, Danielle and State Labor party, has given Diamond Valley Basketball a fantastic opportunity to grow the overall participation level of grassroots basketball and help support areas such as our Female junior domestic program.”

The state election commences on Saturday, 24th November.
