VYCW preseason wrap
The 2018 Youth League preseason has wrapped up for our Eagles teams, with final preparations now being put in place for round 1!
On Sunday March 4th the VYCW took on Sunbury's Youth League Women in their final pre-season practice game. The girls were much more focused from the outset of this one, putting in a 32-9 first quarter on the back of some strong up the floor pressure, which was a notably different effort from the previous week. Sunbury responded in the second quarter lifting their level of aggression, but the girls steadied in the second half running out winners 82-40. Meg Crupi and Sharna Ayres led the way offensively for the group, but there was a good contribution across the board from all players. The girls have two weeks of training left to tighten up some defensive principles before tipping off against at 5:30pm at Nunawading on Saturday March 17th.
