Departing our shores quicker than planned to take on a roster spot for Sport Lisboa Benfica in Portugal’s capital city of Lisbon, our smiling fan-favourite Carli Rosenthal had a message for her Diamond Valley Basketball friends –
‘Coming to DV for my first season overseas was a great experience. I really felt the support on and off the court from the club, my coaches, and teammates’.
‘It was more than just playing games at Diamond Valley - our Senior Championship team got to know the Youth teams and younger club players to form relationships off the court and inspire the next generation.’
‘I met some really amazing people at Diamond Valley and I can't thank the club, my coaches, teammates and the Basketball families enough for their kindness and hospitality ! GO EAGLES !’
On behalf of the DVBA, we would sincerely like to thank Carli for her efforts on and off the court for season 2016. She conducted herself like a true professional and immersed herself wholly in the club as a player, coach and personality. We all wish Carli the very best of luck for her season in Portugal !
