DIAMOND VALLEY CONTINUES TO BUILD FOR THE FUTURE

Diamond Valley is happy to announce their Men’s Youth League Coach for the upcoming season. Nathan Cooper – Brown has accepted the Head coaching position for season 2014 and brings with him both playing experience from the USA, SEABL , NBL as well as coaching experience from State Teams as he is currently in his second year with the Vic Metro program. Nathan will also head up the U/16 boys age group and is noted for his attention to detail, flowing style of game and his ability to motivate and develop young players.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for both Nathan and Diamond Valley to build on the work that has and still is going on in the junior program. There is a core of good young players ready to get their chance to compete for minutes, players from within the 18s, 20’s and Youth Team which has been a cornerstone of success over the past 5 years. “

“The style of play will be different to what most of these players have known for a few years and it will be a challenge to try and continue to build on previous success, but we feel that Nathan is a great fit for the program and I will enjoy watching his progress in the coming years . “   - Alan McAughtry

“I would like to thank Diamond Valley for giving me this opportunity to Head Coach the Youth League team, it is an exciting time for the program with an abundance of talented players at the club and some exciting juniors coming through from the Academy Programs.

Given the clubs recent history of producing good juniors, I am excited to help continue that development both within the junior and senior program. With the appointment of CEO, Ross Wignell, the club is heading in the right direction that I am sure will see continued success in the near future “

– Nathan Cooper - Brown
