DVBA launches Ladies League

On Sunday 23rd October the Diamond Valley Basketball Association launched its newly founded initiative, the Ladies League, by hosting a High Tea.

Fifty-five ladies of all ages arrived at Community Bank Stadium for an afternoon of inspiration, plenty of food, great company and lots of giveaways. Whilst enjoying savory snacks, the new Ladies League VIPs heard from the Head Coach of Diamond Valley’s Championship Women’s team Dee Butler, whose story proved that juggling work, family and sport is not only possible, but fulfilling. After enjoying a chat and a bite to eat, everyone received well-being inspiration from Linda Mancino, the Director and Owner of Glowing Results Personal Training, Nutrition and Massage.

Following a selection of delicious desserts, Janice Crosswhite, Vice President of the International Association for Physical Education and Sport for Women and Girls, shared her inspiring experience and influence in women’s sport within Australia.

The DVBA Ladies League would like to thank everyone who attended this event.  A big thank you to Dee Butler, Linda Mancino and Janice Crosswhite for being our guest speakers.  Thank you to Vicki Ward, Member of Parliament for Eltham, for joining us at our launch event.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
