A big, and unexpected, win to the Redbacks kept them well and truly in the race for finals. The game was an arm wrestle all night, neither team ever able to gain a comfortable lead. The Redbacks were able to finish on a 10-2 run in the last 2 minutes to secure the win. Peter Hayman led all scorers with 22 points for the redbacks, while Sam wheelan had 21 for the The Splashers, including 6 3 point makes!

8.00PM No Big Deal 57 def. by St Mary’s Sharks 72

 

No Big Deal officially are out of the finals race after another loss, in a season where they were never able to find their feet. The Sharks got out by over 20 points in the 2nd half, before some late scoring by Jordan Hutchinson decreased the final margin. Mark Scherf had 23 and Ryan Bowkett chipped in with 17 of his own for St. Mary’s, while Josh Shaw had 21 for No Big Deal.

8.55PM Uni Hill 56 def. by greenhills 49

 

2nd and 3rd on the ladder did battle, with Uni Hill taking the points in a tight game agaisnt the Beavers. A low scoring game for these two teams, neither group was ever able to establish a lead of more than 10. Adam Moore dominated the inside with 20 points, while Lucas Sovleski had 19 for Uni Hill.
