Brianna Gregory signs with NBL1 Eagles Womens team for 2019.

Diamond Valley Basketball Association are pleased to welcome Brianna Gregory to the NBL1 Eagles Womens team for 2019.

The Queenslander will be playing her first season in the NBL1 League this year, after an outstanding Junior career, representing Queensland South in multiple National Championship teams.

Brianna has had a very sport orientated junior career, playing Netball at the representative level, whilst also winning medals at the Club Nationals in 2013 and the Under 16 Nationals in Tasmania. Playing her domestic basketball at Gold Coast Basketball, the 18-year-old states her biggest basketball influence to be none other than Australian Basketball legend Shane Heal, who taught her the game of basketball from an early age.

Jonothan Goodman spoke on the latest signing to the Womens NBL1 Eagles side;

“We are really excited and lucky to have Bri with us this year. Bri who has relocated from Queensland, has experience competing in National Junior Championships and being part of the Queensland South High-Performance program. Her size and athleticism are going to give us great versatility. She crashes the boards hard and is a good finisher around the basket. We will look for her to be versatile by playing the 3-5.”

This year, our Eagles Senior Teams will be competing against some of the best clubs in Australia, with Basketball Victoria announcing the new NBL1 League in 2019. Brianna will be an ambassador for St Joseph’s Jaguars, building on the strong connections between the Junior and Senior programs.
