Civic League Wrap – Round 10
10 rounds in and the ladder is finally taking shape with 4 teams looking to clinch a finals spot. Greenhills remain the hunted while St. Mary’s continue to make their way up the ladder. Round 11 looks exciting with several big games which could alter several positions on the ladder.

6.10PM Wolves 0 v Dream Team 20
Unfortunately Wolves were unable to get a team together for this week, giving Dream Team the points.
7.05PM The Splashers 66 v Gale Force 45
The Splashers were back in the winning circle this week, outlasting Gale Force by 21 points. It was a hard fought first half with only 6 points separating the two teams, but the young Splashers turned it up a gear to run away the victors. Sam Whelan was on fire, finishing with 7 made 3’s for the night.

8.00PM Greenhills Beavers 90 v Redbacks 55
Redbacks were on the wrong side of a scoring avalanche, with Greenhills dominating in a 35 point win. The Redbacks gave it a red hot go but the scoring spread of the Beavers made it extremely difficult to contain. Paul Meager again showing his shooting prowess with 20 points on the night, while big men Adam Moore and Liam Killey dominated inside combining for 35 points.

8.55PM Uni Hill 61 v St. Mary’s Sharks 80
The Sharks have continued on their winning way with a clinical 19 point win. The Sharks were explosive from the tip with the first 18 points before Uni Hill hit the scoreboard. Half way through the third quarter Uni Hill managed to fight back to a 5 point deficit, the Sharks pushed through the scoring run and finished on a run of their own.
