MACEDON maintained its unbeaten record for another week with victory over an inaccurate Sunbury Kangaroos in the Riddell District Football League on Saturday.
The Cats had five less scoring shots than the home side at Boardman Reserve but made the most of their opportunities to triumph 14.6 (90) to 9.16 (70).
A big first quarter was key to the result, the Kangaroos held goalless as Macedon opened a 36-point advantage.
The margin grew to 44 points by three-quarter time before the home side hit back with four goals to one in the final term.
Thomas Waters and Alastair Collins led the way for the Cats in the win, while Matthew Knox finished with four goals.
Tierone Cuffe battled hard throughout for the Kangaroos to be named their best.
Macedon (8-0) remains second on the ladder behind Diggers Rest only on percentage.
