Emily Crampton, from the Suns U16 rep team, and a member of BDC team in our Friday night High School competition will depart later this week to live one of her sporting dreams.

Teaming up with 6 other high school girls she will head for Hawaii and mainland USA on a “Basketball Experience” tour as a member of the “2014 East Coast Dunkeroos” basketball tour.

The trip will involve attendance at NBA games in Dallas, San Antonio and Los Angeles.

Other basketball activities will include watching college games, touring college basketball facilities and scrimmaging against USA high school teams.

While in Texas, she will attend a college football game at the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and an NHL ice hockey game in San Antonio.

A day at school, outlet shopping, two days in New York and a visit to a Los Angeles theme park on the way home will finalise her three week tour.

While stateside, Emily has hopes of catching up with two other Suns players who are presently based in the USA, Jessi Reeves (at college in Hawaii) and Aimee Durbridge (at college in Texas).

Both former Suns are past Dunkeroo travellers, so who knows where Emily's expereince may lead her in a few year's time.
