Due to the severe weather, there is a water leak in the roof at Sportz Central that is leaking directly onto the circuit board and mains power.

 

Due to this, the stadium management have turned the power off, evacuated the centre and it will remain closed for the rest of today. The situation will be reassessed tomorrow and if the rain continues and it is not safe to turn the power back on, the stadium will remain closed until it's deemed safe. We will send out another email tomorrow to let everyone know what is happening.

 

This means, today's Men's competition, due to start at 6pm is cancelled. We will try to make up this round and will let all effected teams know as soon as this is organised. Also, any junior rep trainings scheduled for today have also been cancelled.

 

Please touch base with any of your team members if you are in the affected teams for tonight to ensure that they are all aware.

 

The CHBA office will be closed also until the stadium reopens. We do not have access to the phones, but we are still able to access our emails, so any issues or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

 

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, but due to the serious nature of the problem, Sportz Central were advised to close as soon as they could.
