Praise for CHBA Referees.

Sometimes you can be too close to the situation to be able to see the forest for the trees. Recent complaints by some players and coaches might just be a case of this after some positive feedback today from an outside source.

We more often get complaints than praise, but a fresh pair of eyes has shown us maybe we should count our blessings.

Earlier today the teacher-in-charge of the Tweed Valley Adventist School called into our office before leaving Sportz Central to thank CHBA for providing referees for the North Coast Independent Schools Gala Basketball day.

He commented that he thought our officials did a fabulous job in allowing his players to play basketball.
He contrasted this with similar days he had attended in Sydney which resembled rugby matches rather than basketball games.

Referees, give yourselves a pat on the back and thanks for helping to enhance the reputation of Coffs Harbour Basketball.

Thank you Sandra Mottram for your efforts in recruiting and rostering the officials.

Perhaps these comments are a timely reminder that we are lucky in Cofffs Harbour to have the number and quality of referees that we have.

The CHBA Board and staff are committed to providing you with 2 competent badged referees for everyone of your games and we are working energetically to make sure we can deliver on that promise.

Thanks for your patience and understanding while we work towards this end result.
