The Berkeley Vale Touch Club has some fantastic news to share with everyone.

Last week the U/15 NSW All Schools Touch Tournament was held with teams from NSWCHS, NSWCCC & NSWCIS competing.
The Berkeley Vale Club had a total of 10 players representing their State school team at the NSW All School Championships which is a fantastic achievement.

Matt Sawyer - CHS Manager

15 Girls

Brooke Playford was coach of the Open Girls NSWCHS team which also included Kirra Dibb who played in the 15's.

The NSW All Schools team will contest the Australian Schools Championships in Coffs Harbour from Oct 23rd - 28th. We wish them all the best.

Also last weekend Claire Reed and Isabelle Kelly were selected in the NSW U/18's Development team with Edith Nathan appointed as Coach. This is a great effort by all but even more so for Isabelle as she is only 16.
The NSW U/18's Development team will contest the National Youth Championships in Port Macquarie from Sept 19th - 22nd. We wish Claire, Isabelle (Izzy) and Edith all the best.

That is a total of 12 Berkeley Vale Juniors selected to play for NSW and 3 coaches as well in the last week. This is a fantastic achievement and I congratulate them all on behalf of the Berkeley Vale Touch and the Sports club.

Not sure if that sort of representation from a Junior club has been achieved before.

The 2012/13 Rep season is looking strong again provided we can keep all our local players from being poached to go to other neighbouring clubs.
