Berkeley Vale PWM Club Champions 3 years in a row
Firstly I would like to congratulate all coaches, assistant coaches, Managers and their players for their efforts
on the weekend as well as their behaviour at the Peter Wilson Memorial championships. It was of a high
standard and it certainly was noticed by all the other affiliates.
Saturday nights BBQ and Karaoke was a great success and very well attended. It will be definately happening
again next year.
A special congratulations to our three winning championship teams U/12 Boys, U/12 Girls & U/14 Girls teams.
To the U/18 boys & U/16 Girls teams well done on reaching the Final. Both teams were very unlucky not to win.
The U/16 boys & U/18 Girls were beaten semi finalist and were unlucky not to reach the final.
The under 14 Boys team although missed out on the semi finals played some very good touch football and with
the dedication they put in at training I am confident that the state cup will be a different story all together.
Our U/10 boys team played at the championships for the first time and the experience they gained as a whole
team on and off the field will only make them a better team and will have a better understanding of what to expect
at the Junior State Cup. Finally to our U/14 girls B side who only had 11 players for the weekend played some
good touch football and really enjoyed themselves. I am sure the experienced gain by these girls will put them in
good stead for next year.
A big special thankyou to all the parents that helped out in the tent area and at the Saturday night BBQ, from
cooking the BBQ, making rolls, setting up the tents and packing up and any other small duty that was caried out,
without your help our club would not have been able to function the way it did. To all our Referees and to those
that helped out refereeing on the weekend a big thanks for your efforts. It is a thankless job I know but we really
appreciate the job you do.
At the completion of the Tournament our Club was awarded the Club Championship shield for the third year in a
row. This is a massive effort from such a small club and everyone involved in the club. This is a just reward for
everyone's efforts over the weekend. We have certainly entrenched ourselves as the premier club in the Hunter
