Four Teams to contest football
While the world cup rages, the real action will be in Yap for the 9th micronesian Games football tournament.
Four teams from Pohnpei, Palau, Chuuk and Yap will return after their battles in 2014 with Palau aiming to defend its gold medal against every ambitious Pohnpei. Team Yap will also so that like Russia, home ground conditions will give them enough of an edge to upset their more fancied opponants.
Competition will take place at the athletics field in week two of the Games from 23rd - 25th of July although adjustment may take place to allow for rest days between games.
