Thank you Tanroo, etc.

Last Saturday (Feb. 14), athletes from three schools were back on the National Stadium track beginning their preparations for the Inter-Secondary Championships in five months time.   However good this was to see, it is an indicator of how reliant we still are on the basic schools programme - which had a holiday from mid-November to the beginning of February !    Very little training of other activity has gone on for KAA during that same period.

Starting again on Tuesday of this week, so far we have five sprinters/jumpers committing some time to the sweaty task of forcing themselves through the first of many barriers.   This is very encouraging, especially as the fastest of them (Tanroo Taniera) has his eyes set on being selected as the best male sprinter to go to Berlin in August for the World Championships.

It is to be hoped that the training and the coaching will grow again from here.
