Secretary Tekabara honoured by OAA

Last month (February 29 2016) KAA Secretary Tekabara Raurenti received a surprising e-mail from Oceania AA Executive Director informing him that he had been nominated for the Oceania AA Merit Award.    This award recognises the work of volunteers in the Oceania Area and is awarded to a small number of people annually.

In the case of Tekabara, it particularly shows appreciation for the efforts he has made to promote Athletics for the Masters, Kids, and Disabled people of Kiribati.

It is anticipated that he will receive a tangible sign of this at one of the Oceania events in 2016.
