Junior Sailors- Fun Sailing Camp Wrap Up

The Australia day long weekend was yet another success around the club, with the Junior section running a sailing camp to celebrate. Young sailors bought it back to basics, getting out on the water and doing what all sailors should do- just having a good time. The camp also had a variety of funny, challenging and team-building activities including playing the doughnut game, swimming out to a large mark in the bay, trying out Gosford’s new Aqua-splash activity park, having some short sprint races with coach Sophie, enjoying fish and chips and pizza as well as an overnight sleep-out at the GSC boatshed. A massive thanks goes out to all the amazing parent’s who helped out; who did an exceptional job in organising the event and providing the sailors with some well-enjoyed snacks for the camp. The camp was very welcoming to new junior sailors of the club and provided an insight into some of the awesome friendships which can be made through sailing at GSC.
