A Patient End To The Last Twighlight Pointscore Race
Last night many sailors took to the water in their last race of the Twilight Point Score Series. Whilst the rain was steady all day long the wind was one to waver, dropping out almost completely during the final minutes to the finishing line. Nerveless, this made the racing a close battle between yachts, as they drifted towards breeze in an exciting final approach to the finish. Like always, it was the yachts which were patient enough to wait for the breeze who finished the race.
There were a total of four Magic 25 Sailing Boats out on the water, of which the 'Robson' magic won the Coast Wide Meat Tray. Division 1 and 2 meat trays were also presented to the fastest yachts that finished the race in 1st place in each division. These included division 1 winner 'Granny Jen' and Division 2 winner 'Carpe Diem'.
A special additional prize was presented to Peter Leslie, the race officer, who received a fancy towel with the new sponsor ‘AUDI’ logo on it.
Next Wednesday night (22nd March) will be the 2nd last twilight race of the season. It is also the Ladies Skippers Night. Don’t forget to come dressed up in your favourite ‘Prascilla, Queen of the Water’ costume!
