Gosford Boys Xtatic After Being Crowned Sabot State Champs!

A HUGE congratulations to Gosford junior sailors Miles Greenwood and Hayden Starr for taking out the Sabot Two-Up State Championships held at Gosford Sailing Club last weekend. The boys managed to pile up a consistent scorecard of 1st's over their rivalries sailing ‘Blue Devil’, to swiftly and convincingly take out the 7 race regatta. The regatta was held over a period of 2 weekends at both Vaucluse Sailing Club and Gosford Sailing Club. Their boat name ‘Xtatic’ seemed to perfectly sum up the joy and excitement both expressed after taking out the prestigious award. Well done GSC sailors Miles and Hayden! We are all very proud to have more State Champions at Gosford Sailing Cub.

Further success from GSC sailors continued in the Sabot One-Up division, which saw Lincoln Senior sailing ‘Need for Speed’ finishing 12th overall, in a large 35 boat fleet. Despite collecting an OCS in race 6, Lincoln still managed to come away with a best race result of 8th overall. Congratulations Lincoln!

The boat park banter after sailing seemed to regard the fantastic regatta Gosford Sailing Club put on. This notably would not have been possible without the support from local parents and the race committee. Thank you all involved!#sabotsailingatGSCisawesome
