Sail For Cancer Day- A Huge Success

Thorough colours of bright pink consumed the boat park yesterday afternoon as twilight sailors wore pink bandannas and other pink coloured clothing in celebration of the Sail for Cancer event. The event was raising awareness for Cancer. Warm weather accompanied these colours despite the lack of breeze around the racecourse. Overall the event was a huge success. All colourful bandannas were sold out and a total of $700 was raised towards the great cause! GSC would like to say a huge thank you to all the twilight sailors who were involved. After the racing celebrations continued, with around 68 people enjoying their afternoon upstairs at the wet bar. Special mention was given to the yachts Koko, Kytan and Magpie for the best race starts as well as the yachts Soul Sister and Aeolian for the pinkest boat. We hope you all had a great time! Stay tuned for more special events coming up...
