Pirates, Pirates, Pirates

Plenty of sailors got into the spirit of the Twilight Pirates night, dressing up as Blackbeards and Jack Sparrows and adorning their vessels with dastardly flags and skulls for a spot of Brisbane Water buccaneering. The exciting night took place last Wednesday evening from 5:30pm.

Brian Baker, who burst into a sea shanty every now and then while skippering a Magic during the race, won the best dressed pirate award.

The breeze started out light then puffed up a little  but unfortunately it was not enough wind for any of the competitors to complete the race. To make up for the unfortunate amount of breeze prizes were handed out to those closest to the finish when the sun went down.

All had a rollicking good time at presentation.

Gosford MP and Paralympian gold medallist Liesl Tesch also sailed on a Magic with her partner and friends.
We hope everyone had a fantastic time and look forward to this week's racing on Wednesday with racing commencing at 5:30pm.
Chek out some of the cool photos!
