It's An Opti Opti World!

Last weekend Gosford Sailing Club hosted both the 2017 Opti-Chick girls and TT4 Optimist regatta. Despite the mountain of rain Gosford and the bigger part of NSW received over the weekend, the event was a huge success. Over 122 optimist sailors and parents visited the club, where sailors took to the water to train on some of the finest waters. Sailors came away feeling quite exhausted whilst undertaking the vigorous training sessions, and were pleased to have spent the time learning from some fantastic coaches including Carolijn Brouwer and Laura Baldwin, Lanee Beashel and Adam Beashel. The Opti-Chick event was especially well recognised, aiming at ‘bringing together female junior sailors of varying age and skill level for a day of training, education and fun!’ Special congratulations to all the junior GSC representatives who well represented our club! J
Gosford Sailing Club would like to say a huge thankyou to all involved and a special thanks to the event sponsors B and G, Musto, Saltwater Insurance Consultants, Masterfoods, Bunnings, H20 Sports Academy and Central Coast Spinal Care Centre. We hope to host some more fantastic sailing events in the future!
