2019/20 Summer Season Details
ERC are excited with the new format of our Centre sports coming into fruition.
The Summer Wednesday Basketball season at ERC dates and time are as follows:
- Ladies Basketball
- Commencing October 16 2019, finals concluding in April.
- Timeslots -5.45pm and 6.25pm (7.5pm depending on teams)
- Mens Basketball
- Commencing October 16 2019, finals concluding April
- Timeslots - 6.25pm, 7.05pm, 7.45pm, 8.25pm 9.05pm and 945pm (depending on teams)
**ALL TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE**
As of the 2015/2016 Spring/Summer Season of our stadium sport we are moving in line with more traditional Basketball formats, the main changes that will be visibily noticeable are;
- Extended season covering Terms Four and Term One
- Official Three week grading period introduced
- Official finals series introduced
- Addition of divisioning in the Ladies competition (Subject to Nominations)
The new season will also include some added behind the scenes details;
- Registering of all individual players and tracking of team appearances
- An individual player will need to have a played a minimum of Four regular season matches to be eligible for the finals series
- Teams found to be dishonestly adding players to be eligible will lose competition points
- Introduction of strategies to improve administration, official and referreeing standards
The above plus enhancements to be announced in the coming weeks are all in line with the strategy of improving the service and professionalism of the Shire Of Dardanup Eaton Recreation Centre Sport delivery.
