Protecting the youth throwing arm

Protecting the youth throwing arm

Hello everyone. Ray Brown here. With more than 50 years in the game, I have formed a view on throwing a baseball and the factors that should be addressed when discussing the pitch count. For the past while I have been talking with a friend of mine, Dr. Randy Gregg who owns the Edmonton Sports Institute and has worked for over 20 years in sports medicine rehabilitation. The reason for my discussions with Dr. Gregg was to gain a greater understanding of throwing arm injuries and how as a coach/teacher I could help my players prevent them. Thanks to the good doctor, I have more information and insight on what could be the single most important fundamental baseball skill and I would like to share what I’ve learned with you.
