New Zealand beats Tahiti 4-0

OFC Release - New Zealand scored a comfortable 4-0 win over Tahiti in the last match of round one in Group B.
Playing in sweltering humidity at the Maroochydore Soccer Centre, the kiwis were 2-0 up at half-time courtesy of early goals scored by Jesse Scott and Michael White.
In the second half, the Tahitians battled back but were unable to turn the tide. New Zealand brought in fresh legs and this worked wonders as substitutes, Kris Bright and Craig Henderson, closed out the game with a pair of late strikes.
New Zealand faces a tougher opponent today in Vanuatu, who thrashed Tonga 11-0 in their first match.
