NPL1 Coaches nearly locked in for 2019

Nearly all of the nine NPL1 clubs for 2019 have locked in their head coaches for the new season, with some new faces set to take over.

Gungahlin confirmed that Marcial Munoz will remain at the head of the club’s NPL Men’s First Grade side after a year where the side missed out on league finals but were only narrowly defeated in the FFA Cup Qualifying Final by Canberra FC.

Treble winners Canberra FC though will see a change, with Paul Macor taking a year off due to an extended period of travel, and he will be replaced at the helm by Luka Ujdur.

Frank Cachia will remain in charge of the first grade squad at Canberra Olympic, while Tigers FC, Tuggeranong United & Woden-Weston will all have familiar faces from 2018 on the touchline.

Ulisses Da Silva will be at Belconnen United once more after he took over from Peter Mazis during the season and Tim Davies will join him in the dugout at McKellar Park as the Blue Devils look to get back into the top four.

Monaro will also have a new look with Jimmy Kanaridis taking over, assisted by Colin Stirton and he has quickly begun filling out his squad with the Panthers announcing a number of signings on their Facebook page.

The Riverina Rhinos are yet to announce whether Gabriel Abdala will be in charge for 2019 after a season which saw them improve from their maiden campaign in 2017.

News about NPL2 and NPLW Coaches will be announced soon.
