NPL clubs set for Dockerty Cup

Victorian football fans will be treated to a Saturday feast of football, with three venues to each stage a Round 4 Dockerty Cup double-header featuring some of the state’s powerhouse clubs.
Jack Edwards Reserve in Oakleigh, Knights Stadium in Sunshine and George Andrews Reserve in Dandenong will host the double-headers, with nine National Premier Leagues (NPL) clubs in action.
Malvern City and Sunbury United will be the first to take to Jack Edwards Reserve at 2.00pm, before Oakleigh Cannons welcomes fellow NPL club Werribee City to its home ground at 5.00pm.
Green Gully and Ballarat Red Devils will do battle at Knights Stadium at 3.30pm in another all-NPL special, in a prelude to Melbourne Knights taking on Whittlesea Ranges at 6.00pm.
Box Hill United begins its Dockerty Cup campaign against North Sunshine Eagles at 4.30pm at George Andrews Reserve, while Dandenong Thunder faces off with fellow NPL club Heidelberg United at 7.00pm.
A host of Round 3 Dockerty Cup fixtures were played on Wednesday, with Dandenong City v Preston Lions – Preston won in penalties after the match was tied at 4-4 after extra time – arguably the pick of the bunch.
