Former Caltex Socceroos and Hyundai A-League star Archie Thompson will feature for Heidelberg United this weekend in PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria.

Having registered with Heidelberg United prior to the transfer window closed in June, anticipation has been building about if and when the Melbourne Victory legend would take the pitch.

Heidelberg United hosts the Oakleigh Cannons on Sunday August 14 in a 4pm kick-off at Olympic Village.

Elsewhere, Bentleigh Greens can seal the title as soon as Friday night. South Melbourne must beat Pascoe Vale on Friday to stay in mathematical contention. Should South Melbourne win, Bentleigh can secure the title with a draw or win away to Northcote City on Saturday. Full table - click here.

The league premier wins the right to host the Northern NSW premier Edgeworth FC in the first week of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series.

With Calder United winning the inaugural PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria Women's premiership last weekend, the focus of the final round turns to sorting out seeding within the top four.

Alamein FC and FC Bulleen Lions are both still chasing second spot on the table which brings with it a double chance and first shot at Calder United in the finals series.
