Heidelberg United Wins National Final
Heidelberg United have made history as they become the first Victorian side to win the national PlayStation®4 NPL crown.
Goals from Adrian Zahra and Sean Ellis secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Brisbane Strikers at Perry Park in front of 1,105 fans, which included 200 travelling Heidelberg United fans.
The win puts Heidelberg's season in the history books, after also securing the NPL Victoria Premier's Plate, Dockerty Cup, as well as automatic qualification to next year's FFA Cup Round of 32.
Heidelberg United coach George Katsakis said: “It’s undoubtedly the best season, I would say, in our existence.”
