Murray United has salvaged a dramatic 2-2 draw against Kingston City on Saturday night at The Grange Reserve.

Debutant Ashleigh Dunn's 93rd minute strike restored parity for the visitors who overturned a 2-0 deficit to draw level.

Damien Iaconis and Sean McIlroy handed the hosts a 2-0 lead before James Coutts and Dunn pulled back margin late in the second half.

Six minutes was all the crowd had to wait for the game's first.

Holding up a cross from the left, McIlroy played through Iaconis who wrapped his early into the back of the net.

United custodian Josh Fluss was forced into a busy opening half, on hand to foil Kingston's attempts on multiple occasions.

Iaconis had his opportunities smothered by the keeper in search of a second while McIlroy and Stelios Konstantinidis came close to extending the advantage.

Mick Richard's side however ha a descent shout for a penalty waved away by the referee after Nicholas Modaffari appeared to have impeded Kade Rixon in the area.

Noticeably Murray amped up its intensity after the beak, pressing high up the field.

However - somewhat against the run of play - McIlroy silenced the travelling support, converting Nick Teichmann's cross at the back post with 25 minutes remaining.

A reply from Murray then came instantly.

Capitalising on the end of a swift build up, Coutts punished a lapse Kingston defence, slotting in Murray's first.

Fraser Maclaren was forced into three particularly good saves as Zac Walker fluffed a one-on-one with the young shot stopper.

As the game progressed to its final stages, Murray laid siege to City's goal.

Maclaren was continually on hand to warn off any danger while on the counter, Kingston substitute Gino Defeo left two chances begging at the death.

Josh O'Brien then appeared to have squandered Murray's last opportunity in the first minute of regulation time.

It wasn't the case as, Dunn - in the 93rd - latched onto the end of disputed cross, firing the ball into the bottom corner to send Murray back to Albury with a point.
