Last round:
Bentleigh Greens 3-1 Green Gully
Dandenong Thunder 0-0 Oakleigh Cannons

Form:
Bentleigh Greens: WDWW
Dandenong Thunder: DWWWD

Bentleigh Greens squad from: Wayne Wallace (C), Kyle Nix, Ross Archibald, Stuart Webster, Luke Pilkington, Alastair Bray, Luc Jeggo, Tom Matthews, Liam McCormick, Steve Hatzikostas, Jamie De Abreu, David Stirton, Nick Modaffari, Perry Lambropoulos, Brent McGrath, James Cumming, Anthony Proia, Christian Cavallo, Jack Webster, Lewis Foster

Dandenong Thunder squad from: Frazer Siddall, Jarryd Barnes, Ilir Pali, Ramazan Tavsancioglu, Faisal Sakhi Zada, Alan Mulcahy (C), Kieran Dover, Matthew Millar, Ivan Skorich, Feston Azizi, Kristopher Kioussis, Brendan Elmazovski, Anthony Giannopoulos, David King, Ryan Burns, Alan Kearney, Marcus Schroen, Brendan Craig, Zaim Zeneli, Jake Nakic, Jack Caminiti, Jarod Blackbourn

What to expect: Two undefeated sides with the best defensive records go head-to-head in this Anzac Day blockbuster to be broadcast live (details above). Expect a low-scoring but engaging affair.

Player to watch: Brent McGrath, who has one cap for the Socceroos, has scored in Bentleigh’s past two matches and been outstanding in midfield. Can he keep the streak going?

Port Melbourne Sharks v Heidelberg United

Last round:
Port Melbourne 0-1 Northcote City
Heidelberg United 4-2 Ballarat Red Devils (catch-up game)

Form:
Port Melbourne: DLDWL
Heidelberg United: LLWLW

Port Melbourne squad from: Luke Prelevic, Stefan Nigro, Lisandro Paz, Andrew Milicevic, Nick Krousouratis, James Riccobene, Connor Redden, Kamal Ibrahim, Amadu Koroma, Andrew Viola, Kosta Stoumpos, Nick Tzoulis, John Lazaridis, Alessandro Venezia, Phillip Riccobene (C), Chris Grossman, Adam Hrehoresin, Kevin Braniff, Lambros Honos, Alexander Connell

What to expect: The pendulum could swing either way here, with both sides suffering from inconsistency. Heidelberg has been the more encouraging so far with two wins from its past three outings, while Port Melbourne is winless from four home matches.

Player to watch: Heidelberg has scored 11 goals in its past three matches. Daniel Heffernan has been of his side’s attacking weapons, scoring in each of those games, and will come under close attention.

Green Gully v Goulburn Valley Suns
13th v 14th
3.00pm, Saturday April 26, 2014
Green Gully Reserve
Twitter: Live updates @nplvictoria, hashtags #GGvGVS #NPLVIC

Last round:
Bentleigh Greens 3-1 Green Gully
Goulburn Valley Suns 3-4 Werribee City

Form:
Green Gully: WLLLL
Goulburn Valley Suns: LLLLL

Green Gully squad from: Jem Berkant, Mitchell Bissinger, Ratip Cileli, Cameron Davies, Akim Abdul, Brent Fisher, Jeffrey Fleming, Sean Harding, Jason Hayne, Dilen Ibrahim, Daniel Jones, Osagie Ederaro, Matthew Sanders, Shaun Timmins, Andy Vargas (C), Rodrigo Vargas, Brian Vanega, Ardian Vuniqi, Kieran Gonzalez

Goulburn Valley Suns squad from: Nick Kalafatis (C), Craig Carley, Naum Sekulovski, Kristian Sarkies, Stipo Andrijasevic, Hernan Espindola, Fahed Alghazaly, Daniel Chaabani, Rudy Saglam, Ben Clarke, Zac Paraskevas, Josh Glover, Phillip Petrovski , Riley Hamilton, Cody Sellwood, Tom Langman, Anthony Calandro, Frankie Lagana

What to expect: Both sides are terribly out of form and in desperate need of a win. A lot of the spotlight has been on Green Gully’s capitulation in recent weeks, though it pushed Bentleigh to the brink last week in an improved performance and regains first-choice goalkeeper Kieran Gonzalez on Saturday. A staggering 26 goals combined have been conceded by these cellar dwellers in the past three weeks, so don’t be surprised if there are goals galore in this one.

Player to watch: All eyes will be on the Suns in their first trip to metropolitan Melbourne. Nick Kalafatis made an impassioned plea to his Suns teammates during the week to give their all for their shirt. Look for the defender to lead the way on Saturday.

Highlights to follow on FFV TV

Last round:
Port Melbourne 0-1 Northcote City
Goulburn Valley Suns 3-4 Werribee City

Form:
Northcote City: LLLWW
Werribee City: LWWLW

Northcote City squad from: Chris Theodoridis, Luke Gavalas, Adrian Chiappetta (C), Kristian Konstantinidis, Tremayne Sadler, Ersin Kaya, Steve Sifinos, Metekan Yilmaz, Benjudah Fitzpatrick, Philip Petreski, Josh Hiles, Jonathan Munoz, Marino Gasparis, Greg Lombardo, Trent Rixon, Aaron Ward, Jonathan Bounas, Liam Wooding, Michael Catalano, James Kalifatidis, Wade Dekker

Werribee City squad from: Steven Cudrig, Matthew Cundari, Milan Savic (C), Oliver Rowland, Tommy Dunn, Zois Galanopoulos, Nemanja Govedarica, Joshua Groenewald, Ryan Filipovic, Domenico Marafioti, Ray Markley, Damir Marusic, Daniel Petrov, Ivica Praiz, Anthony Ragusa, Daniel Sweeney, Simon Symeoy, Bobby Vidanovski, Simon Zappia

What to expect: Northcote City, bolstered by the return of key players in the past two weeks, has bounced back with two away wins and two clean sheets and returns home against a side which is relishing the underdog tag. Both are in form and this promises to be a hard-fought, tight battle.

Player to watch: Werribee City left-back Oliver Rowland made a name for himself last week, scoring a cracker from 30 yards and assisting another goal. Northcote City coach Goran Lozanovski will no doubt be paying close attention to Werribee’s in-form defender.

Pascoe Vale v Ballarat Red Devils
12th v 9th
6.00pm, Saturday April 26, 2014
Hosken Reserve
Twitter: Live updates @nplvictoria, #PVvBRD #NPLVIC

Last round:
Pascoe Vale 2-1 Heidelberg United
Heidelberg United 4-2 Ballarat Red Devils (catch-up game)

Form:
Pascoe Vale: LLDLW
Ballarat Red Devils: WWLL

Pascoe Vale squad from: Stefaan Sardelic, Eli Luttmer, Nathen Megic, Tomislav Milardovic, Alvaro Carrillo, Adrian Talarico, Michael Ferrante, Carl Recchia, Joseph Youssef, Luca Santilli, Jonathon Voulgaris, Roberto Di Vito, Davey Van’t Schip, Marco Santilli, Mark Pistininzi, Matthew Lazarides, Yaren Sozer

Ballarat Red Devils squad from: Aaron Romein, Tristan Romein, Daniel Tinker, Dane Milovanovic, Adrian Curtain, Liam Harding, Nelson Salvatore, Michael Trigger, Dom Swinton, Charlie King (C), Danny O’Donnell, Daniel Firth, Bolish Salvatore, Pat Karras, Jai Cartledge, Steven Thomson, Simon Murphy, Jordan Franken

What to expect: Ballarat had to do it tough on Easter Monday, backing up after a three-day break for the trip to Heidelberg. Pascoe Vale has the benefit of a longer break – it hasn’t played since Wednesday last week – and will be full of confidence after its first win in the NPL. With its fifth successive away match and third in nine days, Saturday’s contest will be a true test of character and fitness for Ballarat.

Player to watch: Pascoe Vale has a young squad and therefore relies on the experience and class of former A-League midfielders Carl Recchia and Michael Ferrante. The latter was outstanding last week and will look to lead the charge again in front of the club’s fans.

Hume City v Oakleigh Cannons
8th v 2nd
3.00pm, Sunday April 27, 2014
Broadmeadows Valley Park
Twitter: Live updates @nplvictoria, #HCvOC #NPLVIC

Last round:
Melbourne Knights 0-1 Hume City
Dandenong Thunder 0-0 Oakleigh Cannons

Form:
Hume City: WLLLW
Oakleigh Cannons: WWDWD

Hume City squad from: Chris Oldfield, Evan Alexandrow-Ridley, Izzy Erdogan, Shane Rexhepi, Baki Efe, Matthew Hennessey, Petar Franjic, Johnny Stojcevski, Jose Guerrero, Nick Hegarty (C), Kliment Taseski, Devon Bonne, Kaan Korkmaz, Aaron Turner, Joseph Franjic, Ali Turgut, Johnny Buceto, Nick Marinos, Samed Altundag, Richie Cardozo

Oakleigh Cannons squad from: John Honos, Aron Wilford, Dominic D’Angelo, Thomas Lakic, Goran Zoric, Evan Christodoulou (C), Bonel Obradovic, Veton Korcari, Adam Le Cornu, Dean Piemonte, Dusan Bosnjak, Nate Foster, Alexander Connell, Branislav Karaga, Harry Raworth, Laurent Coralie, Ariel Ritz, Gideon Sweet, Andreas Govas, Ian Kamau, Jordan Lowdon, George Krommidas, Michael Karuiki, Evan Kraloglou

What to expect: Oakleigh was not at its best last week but still showed character to grind out a draw away to a quality side. Hume City is suffering from inconsistency and not taking its chances, but if the home side can get it all together then this contest will go right down to the wire.

Player to watch: Oakleigh custodian John Honos seems to get better each week and was the hero in Round 5, pulling off some stunning saves to keep a dominant Dandenong Thunder at bay.

Melbourne Knights v South Melbourne
7th v 1st
3.00pm, Sunday April 27, 2014
Knights Stadium
Twitter: Live updates @nplvictoria, #MKvSM #NPLVIC

Last round:
Melbourne Knights 0-1 Hume City
South Melbourne 2-0 Ballarat Red Devils

Form:
Melbourne Knights: WWLLL
South Melbourne: WWWWW

Melbourne Knights squad from: Shayan Alinejad, Milan Batur, Adrian Barresi, Anthony Colosimo, Rodrigo Covarrubias, Marijan Cvitkovic, Ivan Grgic, Anthony Duzel, Antun Kovacic, Ante Kozul, Chris May, James McGarry, Michael O’Farrell, Damien Rastocic, Michael Simms, Ben Surey (C), Christopher Talajic, Sam Torrens, Tomislav Uskok, Daniel Visevic, Nikola Srbinoski, Chris Stefani

South Melbourne squad from: Jason Saldaris, Tim Mala, Andrew Mullett, Michael Eagar (C), Mathew Theodore, Dimitri Tsiaras, Nick Epifano, Milos Lujic, Tyson Holmes, Brad Norton, Iqbal Jawadi, James Musa, Kobbie Boahene, James Reed, Slaven Vranesevic, Christopher Maynard, Andy Kecojevic, Leigh Minopoulos

What to expect: The Melbourne derby, two fierce rivals, South Melbourne in absolutely sparkling form and the Knights determined to arrest their form slump and end South’s winning streak. Need we say any more?

Player to watch: If it’s not Milos Lujic scoring for South Melbourne, it’s Jamie Reed. The 26-year-old Englishman is in prolific form, scoring a decisive brace in South’s 2-0 win over Ballarat on Holy Thursday. The Knights’ defence will have their work cut out.
