Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is pleased to announce 'NPL VIC Live' as its weekly digital radio broadcaster for the inaugural National Premier Leagues (NPL) 2014.
NLP VIC Live, which is provided by LiveCast, will call tonight’s NPL opener between Heidelberg United and South Melbourne live at 7.15pm, as well as tomorrow night’s encounter between Melbourne Knights and Northcote City at 8.30pm.
One NPL or NPL 1 match will be broadcast live each week, mainly on Friday nights, with updates on the broadcast schedule to be announced on the NPL Victoria website and social media.
The broadcasts can be heard at www.livecast.com.au or via the TuneIn app on smart phones (search ‘Live Cast’).
Teo Pellizzeri, who broadcast Melbourne Victory’s Westfield W-League matches this season with VWL Radio and has been reporting on the Hyundai A-League for The Age since 2011, will head NPL VIC Live's coverage.
He will be joined by former A-League and current Heidelberg United goalkeeper Griffin McMaster, Anna Harrington, Shaun Moran and Adem Barolli (among other special guests throughout the season).
Pellizzeri, who launched his journalism career with FFV in 2005, said he was thrilled to be repaying the Victorian football family.
“Having reported on the VPL as a student and that reporting playing a key part in launching my career, it’s really great to be able to give something back to Victorian football and its fans,” Pellizzeri said.
