The 1000m Sprint Event and the 50km Individual Point Race will be held around the streets of Ballarat on a 1000m circuit. Bordering Ballarat's famous Lake Wendouree, this circuit will showcase the speed and excitement of the cycling action during the Deaflympic Games.

The Individual Time Trial course is an out and back circuit starting and finishing in Ballarat. The course is approximately 32.1km.

EVENT - 100KM ROAD RACE

About Bunningyong
The 100km Road Race is located in Buninyong. Buninyong is located 10 minutes south of Ballarat. This challenging 10km circuit has been the venue for the past 3 Australian Road Cycling Championships. The race starts and finishes in the town of Buninyong with a major hill climb leading up to the half way mark.

Official Pre Games Training
There are no Official Pre Games Training sessions for cycling. Competitors can train on any open roads in Ballarat and Melbourne.
Suggested locations for training in Melbourne is Beaconsfield Parade in Middle Park. This road can be taken through St Kilda and onto Beach Road. Cyclist can follow this road all the way to Frankston (approximately 35km) if required. Cyclists in Melbourne frequently use this road. Please note that the road is not traffic free.
Suggested locations for training in Ballarat can be the designated courses mentioned above.
Please Note: Peak traffic times in Melbourne are from 07.00 - 09.00 and 16.00 - 19.00. Daylight hours in January are from 06.00 - 21.00.
