Three through to Quarter Finals in Table Tennis

At least three Vanuatu players are still on the run for medals in the table tennis competitions at the  XV Pacific Games being played in papua New Guinea.

After winning Bronze and Vanuatu's first medal in the games, the team lost their chances in both men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

However at the end of Thurday 9 July, three players managed to secure places in the quarter finals. Anolyn, Yoshua, Ham, Stephanie and Rosanne have all played very well as they battled for a place in the quarter finals.

Unfortunately despite their outstanding performances and fight to stay on, Ham and Rosanne had to bow out of the competitions, while Anolyn, Yoshua and Stephanie beat their opponents to secure their spots in the quarter finals on Friday 10 July.

Reaching the semi finals would mean securing the opportunity to play for bronze already in the three remaining players. And of course winning the semi finals would mean a shot at gold with silver already in the bag.

The table tennis competitions are being played at the Caritas School compound.
