SP Brewery Limited last year has sponsored K50,000.00 cash towards Team PNG's participation at the Pacific Mini Games held in Rarotonga, Cook Islands from 21st September to 02nd October 2009.

SP Brewery is the major sponsor of the prestigious SP Sports Awards since 1992. this being the only form of recognition for sportsmen and women.

In 2008,  the year of the Olympic Games, SP Brewery once again came on board with K100,000.00.

Port Moresby 2015

On 27 September 2009, the Pacific Games Council, at its meeting coinciding with the 2009 Pacific Mini Games, elected Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea as the host of the 2015 Games. The final vote was 25-22 in favor of Port Moresby over Tonga to host.

The Games will be held from 4 to 18 July 2015.
