The programme is designed as an introduction to Olympism and the Olympic Movement. The IOA brings together a large group of young people from the different NOC’s who are primarily students, Olympic athletes, people active in sport, teaching or active in their respective NOCs.
The aim of the IOA is to educate, but more importantly, to motivate young people to use their experiences and knowledge gained from this session in promoting the Olympic ideals in the Cook Islands.
Participants applying for the course must be aged between 20-35years old, fluent in English and must show an interest in Olympic matters.

As stated in our latest communique with our member federations of CISNOC, we are all about the “Fundamental Principles of Olympism” and we abide always by our Olympic Charter. We convey once again the graditute of these young ambassadors towards this great opportunity and truly hope that after they return they will advocate what they have learnt to the people of the Cook Islands.
We wish them every success on their journey to the homeland of the Olympic Games, Ancient Olympia, Greece.
