SECRETARY GENERAL WON'T BE AT BEIJING GAMES

Oceania Athlete Commission recommend to ONOC Annual General meeting that Mrs Mary Mahuk who is the Secretary General for Oceania Athlete Commision will be at the games to continue the Awareness of the "Voice of  the Athletes" won't be possible anymore. She was told via an email from Secretary General Dr. Robin Mitchel that this won't be possible because of the slots that were given to our NOCs were not enough. They were relying on Vanuatu to accredit her but due to the same problem that they have only three athletes plus their officials, they can't cater for Mrs Mahuk.

However, OAC would be still represented if Nacca from Fiji is accredited by Fiji Judo to be their team manger.

With the difficulty and financial problems having to go country to county for the outreach of "Voces of the Athlete" this is the only way during a big meet that OAC can reach its athletes. However, since it is impossible as propsed now we will have to wait until 2009 for the Mini Games in the Cook Islands.
