19 of the 22 Pacific Games Associations visited Noumea in late March to attend the annual general assembly of the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC).
Following the conclusion of the ONOC program, the New Caledonia 2011 Pacific Games Organising Committee (NC2011) held a "chefs de Mission" briefing for delegates followed by a tour of the soon to be completed Athletes' Village, as well as the recently completed Swimming Complex in Dumbea.
Representatives of the International Federations (IFs) were also in Noumea to attend the annual Olympic Sports Federations of Oceania (OSFO) meeting, held in conjunction with the ONOC program. Valuable exchanges were held between these IF delegates and members of the NC2011 Sport Competition team.
The Pacific Games Council Executive Board also met in Noumea during the ONOC program. The Executive Board were able to review progress on the 2011 Pacific Games, which included a meeting with the New Caledonia Sports Minister, the Hon. Jean-Claude Briault, pictured in discussion with Council President, Vidhya Lakhan.
The Pacific Games Council warmly thanks ONOC and OSFO for bringing their annual general assembly to the home of the 2011 Pacific Games, New Caledonia!
