On behalf of SPGC President Vidhya Lakhan, I visited Palau on Friday 29 April to meet with the Palau 2005 South Pacific Mini Games Organizing Committee (GOC) and tour the games villages and sport venues. I met Palau GOC leaders Baklai Temengil, Susan Ngirausui, Bill Keldermans and Frank Kyota to review the pre-games evaluation checklist (checklist and notes attached). I am happy to announce that Palau GOC is very organized, and ready to host the 2005 South Pacific Mini Games.
During our meetings we discussed Charter requirements, security, ticketing, ceremonies, torch relay, medals, games villages, sport venues, technical officials, attaches, transportation, marketing, advertising, television broadcast, games website, publications, transfer of knowledge, archive material, bid fees and flag hire, medical, insurance, waivers, sports programme, events programme, entries, accreditation and protocol, media guide, official video, cultural programme and code of conduct.
