On behalf of the International Baseball Federation it is my pleasure to welcome the national teams of Australia and South Africa for the Oceania versus Africa Qualifying Playoff for the 2004 Olympic Baseball Tournament.
I would also like to thank the Australian Baseball Federation as well as the Oceania Baseball Confederation for the organization of this IBAF official competition.
I hope that this series will stage competitive Baseball and fair play, for the joy of the attendance and the good of the game.

On behalf of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), Baseball Confederation of Oceania (BCO), Australian Baseball Federation, South African Baseball Union and NSW Baseball League we welcome you to the IBAF Olympic Qualifier Playoff
This tournament is the Olympic qualification series, the winner will participate at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
This year's IBAF Olympic Qualifier Playoff will feature South Africa and Australia in a best of 5 game series at the Blacktown Olympic Park Baseball complex
The 5-day event is scheduled to commence on the Thursday 5th February 2004 and will continue through to Monday, 9th February (if the last two games are required).
We trust that your participation in this event will indeed be memorable.
