Senior 3 on 3

Thanks to the energetic and fantastic promoting that 88.6FM has been doing, the number of players that attend our pick-up basketball nights have nearly DOUBLED!!! Many thanks to Jennifer, Finau - news bits and broadcasting basketball on the Breakfast Show, Sean, Lipo, and Candy on the DriveTime Show - thanks for having our basketball representative (Visi) sit in and talk about basketball.

Things are on the move and it's really exciting!

Thanks to Rev Mavae Fonokalafi, who is the owner of the Tungi Arcade lot, for allowing TNBA to host our Senior 3 on 3 there. Since this recent news, TNBA has decided it would be a good idea to relocate the competition to Tungi Arcade. The combination of being central and in the midst of town, with the radio broadcasting live, we are very optimistic and hoping that this will be basketballs big breakthrough here in Tonga!

Thank you also goes to Tonga Family Planning, Mr. Faleata Leha, for being kind enough to share Tungi Arcade on Friday aand Saturday.

Thank you to our current sponsors -

Uiha & Sons Gio Recycling - donated three (3) tires

Inspiration Investments - has donated one (1) 20' (2" diam) galvanized pole and one (1) plywood backboard (8x4 12mm)

TNBA has currently set Saturday, November 14th as a "clean up" day. This is when we'll assess the lot, draw our court lines, and clean up the court area.

Amidst all this excitement, I am sad to say that we will also be suffering a great loss. Our Executive Committee Member, Mr. Justin Doneth will be departing Tonga because his contract as a Peace Corp has ended. On behalf of TNBA and myself, I can say that we are very grateful for all the time, dedication, and effort that Justin has put into the Committee. He will be sorely missed.
