Student basketball referees association formed

As part of the Solomon Island Basketball Development plan, the NBDO had formed a Student basketball referees association. The committee was elected from one of their yesterday at the Multi-purpose hall on the 11th September 2003.
There were about 80 students who had been accredited Oceania Level `0` referees last year during Jon Hoyles visit to Solomon Island.
The committee members are: 1. President - Laurel Taupongi(Burns Creek high school), 2. Vice-President- Joy Basi (KGVI), 3. Secretary - Natala Pongi (HHS), 4. Treasurer - Golden Kiloko (NBDO), 5. Members are: Lissian Simata (KGVI), Jerolyn Tome (B/Creek), 3. Fidel Hatigeva (KGVI). The committee is purposely to look after the affairs of the referees with in the high schools and primary school level.
