The event saw teamwork from everyone involved including the Honiara City Council, the Local Organising Committee, the Solomon Islands Basketball Federation, a number of the best basketball referees within the Solomon Islands, the 1000+ spectators that attend the event over the week and of course the players from the teams representing their constituencies from East, Central and West Honiara.

Congratulations to all who participated as the standard of competition was very high and it clear that basketball is a very popular sport within Honiara. We hope that the same teamwork and enjoyment of basketball can take place in December when Bellona hosts the Avaiki Provincial Games.

A special thanks goes to AusAid, the Australian Sports Commission, the European Union and other sponsors who made these games possible.
