Banuve Tabakaucoro has finished off the 2013 season with 2 impressive wins in New Caledonia. A the first competition in Kone on the 10thOctober Banuve ran 10.49 into a slight head wind to take out the 100m. In his second run in the capital, Noumea he only needed a 10.66 into a 1.6 headwind to take out his second title.more

THE Fiji University Sports Association (FUSA) received a major boost yesterday in their bid to send a team to the 2011 World University Games.



The undoubted star of the Oceania Regional Athletics Championships that have recently finished in Apia, Samoa, was the 18-year-old sprinter from Fiji, Ratu Banuve Tabakaucoro.



CocaCola Games/Powerade Games Preview 2011

The school term is drawing to a close in Fiji and that signals the Finals of the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Championships, this year known as the Powerade Games. It seems as though for months the local press has been full of stories about inter-house competitions and zone competitions, but now there will be a couple of frenzied weeks of articles about the main individual contenders and the more fancied schools, with the occasional concession made to athletes from remote parts of the country who will be making their first entry into this competition.
