Introducing Marjorie O’Neill. I am the new State Operations Manager for Touch football NT.

I come into this role from a  teaching background spanning over 20 years. I began teaching in Intermediate Schools in New Zealand before moving into the Secondary School sector where PE and Sport became my focus. I continued along this track when I moved to Australia in 2001 teaching in Townsville and Melbourne.

Along with my teaching experience I got involved in touch football in New Zealand when it was in its infancy. First trying to be a player, then refereeing with more success  along with coaching at Secondary School level and managing Provincial and National sides.

My love of the game of touch football allows me to bring an enthusiasm and passion in to all areas from beginners to the elite through players, coaches, referees and volunteers.  To see those who have the desire to thrive through the various pathways available within our game.

The enjoyment, camaraderie and involvement can often outweigh the skill factor but that’s ok in this sport as for the majority it is a game to be social and interact with friends and family.

I look forward to being able to interact with as many of you in the time ahead as we look to introduce new initiatives and reignite a strength and sense of acheivement in the game of Touch football across all regions of the Northern Territory.
