UPDATE ON THE STATE OF THE FIELDS

FURTHER UPDATE:
We have been waiting for the fields to be mowed to ascertain their condition but unfortunately, with the grass being so long and thick, fields are not yet dry enough to take the weight of the tractor mower.more

U18 GIRLS FOR JUNIOR STATE CUP

U18G Coach Greta Doherty is ready to commence training for JSC. Any girls turning 17 or 18 this year and keen to play at this event please contact Rocky Touch (admin@rockytouch.com) providing your name and best contact number so Greta can be in touch with training details.more

U16 BOYS & U18 BOYS TRAINING

Training for Under 16 Boys and Under 18 Boys will be now held at Emmaus on Sunday from 3 to 5pm instead of at the fields. Please call Gary on 0419707445 for information.more

MESSAGE FROM ROCKY TOUCH

Many of you have been playing touch for years here in Rocky and will have been through flood events with us (three already since 2011). At the moment, there is a very strong possibility that we will again be flooded within the next week or so. This is to explain the processes to our new members so that you can understand what happens from here.....more

NO TRAINING ON WET FIELDS PLEASE

Please do not train on the fields while they are wet. Damage this can cause could be extremely difficult to repair.more

U16 BOYS DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

The development sessions for boys turning 15 or 16 in 2017 will commence on Sunday 19th March from 3pm to 5pm and will be held every Sunday from that date. All boys interested in attending are welcome.more

LIGHTNING SUPER SERIES MIXED COMP

HARD, FAST, TOP QUALITY MIXED TOUCH. Rocky Touch is holding a Super Series lightning mixed comp to commence on Monday 24th April. There will be six (6) teams evenly selected from nominations received. No costs involved - must be registered in our senior comp in any grade or division. RTA AGM COMMITTEE ELECTIONS RESULTS

The election of the 2017 RTA Management Committee was held during the Annual General Meeting held at the fields on Thursday 16th February.
The new committee has a good mix of old and new members promising to bring a new perspective. We would like to sincerely thank the retiring committee members for their valuable contribution to Rocky Touch over the past years.......more

WOMENS SUPER SERIES INFORMATION

With indications that insufficient numbers of players were interested in the Womens Super Series this season, we are going ahead with the mens only. This will commence on Monday 15th August but we are determined to ensure a womens competition will be held next season. Please read more.....more

LADIES DRESSING ROOM UPGRADE

Rockhampton Touch wishes to acknowledge and thank the R'ton City Council for their generous support of the upgrade of our ladies dressing room. Council, through their Community Assistance program, has subsidised the costs for the upgrade which is very much appreciated by all who will use this great facility.......more

ROCKHAMPTON LOSES TOUCH NOBILITY

The Touch community is saddened by the loss of long time RTA Administrator, Ron Etherden who passed away yesterday, Thursday 5th March 2015 after a fairly short illness. Ron Etherden built Rockhampton Touch Association into the strong,competitive force it is today and we send our condolences to his wife Noelene and their family and friends.......more

TEAM REFEREES - INFORMATION AND PROCEEDURES

Team referees will need to check this website each week for their game allocation - click on the Referee Draw - Game Allocation tab and check for your name. You will be allocated a game straight before or after you play (unless a game break is requested) and may not be required every week. For teams who have not provided a referee name, the team name will be used. More .......more

WET WEATHER POLICY

The forecast does not bode well for the start of fixtures this coming Monday and Wednesday. Keep an eye on this website and also on our Facebook page (Rockhampton Touch Football) for news on cancellations.
Most times, a decision will not be made until around 3pm on the day of fixtures. Please do not assume games are called off if its raining at your place - often its dry here!!more

COACHING ACCREDITATION UPDATE FORMS - LEVELS 1 & 2.

Coaching accreditation for Levels 1 and 2 must be updated after 4 years.

ROCKY TOUCH REGISTERED WITH GET STARTED FUNDING PROGRAM

Rockhampton Touch is registered with the Qld Gov. "Get Started" funding program which gives financial assistance for children from 5 to 18 who can least afford it to participate in sports. Club or team organisers who receive a voucher (sample attached) can accept that as payment of fees and pass on to this association. Pls read more..more

Rocky Touch has been selected to participate in the AMart Community Kickback Program.  Under this program the association can earn 5% of your purchases at AMart All Sports.  You'll receive access to great member prices and other initiatives and the association will receive 5% credit.

You will need to join up in the North Rockhampton store (not here online) to associate yourself with Rocky Touch so we can receive the 5% credit.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

RTA has always worked under a code of conduct and from the commencement of the 2009 Winter season, this code of conduct will be more strictly applied.

This is to ensure that EVERYONE can participate in Touch in a competitive but enjoyable environment free from any form of abuse and/or harassment.

Copies of the Code of Conduct for All Participants will be distributed with the fixture books to all teams. It will also be available at the canteen, upstairs in admin, at the new Rocky Touch office and on this website in the documents tab.

We urge all teams to ensure everyone attending the Cyril Connell Fields (players, coaches, spectators etc)are made aware of the expectations of their behaviour as any breaches may incur penalties.
