U14 GIRLS DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

U14 Girls development sessions are being held each Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm. Girls turning 13 or 14 in 2017 can come along to either or both sessions each week for Touch development.more

Several years ago, we applied for Rocky Junior Touch to become part of the Qld Gov Positive or Its Pointless program. Unfortunately, Touch is not considered one of the main five sports in this state and we were turned down. The program included a small amount of funding to use towards applying the principles of the program which simple states 'LET'S MAKE JUNIOR SPORT POSITIVE EVERYDAY'.........more

Don't forget to join the AMART team (no costs involved) and align your card with Rocky Touch.  Every time you purchase anything at the North Rocky store, swipe your card and Rocky Touch will receive a rebate of 5% of your total.  Each quarter, we receive a credit which we can spend on anything in the store.  So, whenever you or your family members need sports equipment or clothing, your purchases can contribute to Rocky Touch receiving a "Kickback".

As well as their normal sales, from time to time, AMART ALL SPORTS have days where members only are entitled to great specials.  So keep your eye out for those days and take advantage of some great specials.

To avoid confusion, a map has been drawn indicating which end of the field is A and which is B. The game listed first on the draw will play on A and the second, on B. TRAINING ON THE BOTTOM FIELDS?

Teams training on the bottom fields are asked to make sure that ALL rubbish is taken with you when you leave. If we have to continue to pick up discarded bottles, rubbish etc, all fields will be closed to training. It's a simple request and those in charge should be able to spread the word to the players and parents who are attending trainings.

QLD GOV - GET STARTED PROGRAM

GET STARTED assists children (up to 18yrs) who can least afford and would otherwise benefit from joining a sport by providing vouchers up to the value of $150 to join. Rockhampton Touch Assoc is registered with the program and will accept vouchers as payment for player registration. We then redeem the amount per voucher for current player registration only - no club/uniform fees!more

ROCKY TOUCH REGISTERED WITH GET STARTED FUNDING PROGRAM

Rockhampton Touch is registered with the state government "Get Started" funding program which gives financial assistance for children from 5 to 18 who can least afford it to participate in sports. Club or team organisers who receive a voucher (sample attached) can accept it as payment of registration and pass onto the association. More...more

A reminder also that the complex is circled by a 'ONE WAY' ring road.  The ring road provides plenty of parking with direct access to fields 8, 9 and 10.

NEXT JUNIOR ACTIVITY FOR ROCKY TOUCH:-

2017 JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT DAY

WHEN:   SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2017

TIME:  9AM - 12.30PM (arrive 8.30am to regist)

WHERE: CYRIL CONNELL TOUCH FIELDS

(Northside between racecourse and junior soccer fields)

WHO:   ANYONE - BOY OR GIRL  - from 9 to 16yrs

COST:   NONE

WHAT TO BRING:  waterbottle, hat, shoes, sunscreen

ABOUT THE EVENT:  The junior development day is designed for anyone from 9yrs to 16 yrs to come along and learn some skills in a fun, friendly environment. There are no costs involved and children do not need to be registered players in our competition. Morning tea is provided free to participants on the day. 

We offer continuing sessions following the first Dev Day for anyone keen to keep coming (no costs).

For catering purposes and to ensure sufficient supervision in each age division, anyone interested in attending should email admin@rockytouch.com  stating child's name and age.
